Taches de déodorant sur les vêtements : comment s'en débarrasser ?  - Endro Cosmetiques

Nothing is more practical than a good deodorant. It can be taken anywhere you go and allows you to cover up bad odors in case of perspiration.

Problem: deodorants tend to leave marks on clothes. Most of the time, these are yellow or white stains under the armpits.

Rather than leaving your old wardrobe at the bottom of your drawer, discover how to easily get rid of deodorant stains on your clothes. You will then be able to wear your shirts and t-shirts for longer!

5 EFFECTIVE INGREDIENTS AND METHODS TO REMOVE A SET-IN DEODORANT STAIN

Have marks been present on your clothes for several hours, or worse, for several days?

No worries: with a little determination, they can be removed.

1- Ammonia:

Thanks to ammonia, dealing with deodorant stains is child's play! Simply dilute it in cold water before applying it to the area to be cleaned. Once the stain is gone, rinse the garment with soapy water before washing it as usual.

2- Aspirin:

To clean with aspirin, take a basin of water and fill it enough to soak your clothes. Add a capful of hydrogen peroxide and an aspirin tablet. Leave your stained laundry in it for an hour. Finally, finish washing by hand or in the machine.

3- The baking soda and white vinegar combo:

Mix 3 teaspoons of baking soda and 2 of white vinegar. Then apply this mixture to the deodorant stain you wish to remove.Let everything rest for a good ten minutes. Finally, wash your garment as usual, either by hand or in the washing machine.

4- 70° Alcohol:

Take some cotton or a compress to dab the alcohol onto the stain. Rinse. The stain persists? Repeat until it is gone!

5- White vinegar:

Here is one of the simplest methods to deal with deodorant stains:

1. Fill a basin with hot water,

2. Add white vinegar,

3. Soak your stained clothes in it for about an hour,

4. Remove everything and rinse with clear water,

5. Finally, wash by hand or in the machine.

REMOVING RECENT DEODORANT MARKS

Sometimes stains can appear even before you’ve really worn your clothes. When putting them on, they can rub against freshly applied deodorant.

In this situation, the faster you act, the easier it will be to remove them. Rest assured, though, if you’re in a hurry: it’s not critical (although it could be).

As soon as you spot a stain, run cold water and let it flow over your garment. Still not coming out? In that case, don’t hesitate to use a bit of soap, preferably a bar: it will be much more practical!

If there is a large amount of deodorant on your t-shirt or shirt, start by removing the excess.

Then, place some absorbent paper. Over this, run a hot iron: this helps the paper absorb the deodorant. Once this is done, hand wash your garment to remove the stain for good.

PREVENTING THE FORMATION OF DEODORANT STAINS ON YOUR CLOTHES

The best way to keep your clothes stain-free is to prevent their formation in the first place. To do this, you can opt for anti-stain deodorants.

Before applying it to your underarms, remember to remove as much moisture as possible. Indeed, its presence encourages the development of bacteria, and therefore stains.

If you are coming out of the shower, dry yourself thoroughly, while being gentle: the goal is not to irritate your skin by rubbing too hard!

If you sweat a lot, consider carrying a small towel with you.It will help you dry your underarms before applying your deodorant.
