What Are Our Breakouts Telling Us?

Que nous disent nos boutons ? - Endro Cosmetiques

When we are bothered by small pimples, we often ask ourselves the same questions: "Why do I only have them on my chin?" or "Why do they appear periodically?" Our body reacts whenever something is wrong. Therefore, it sometimes happens that a few imperfections appear on very specific areas. But for what purpose ? Quite simply to inform you about what is happening in your body. This way, you can address what is causing problems for your body.

This is called face mapping ! Find out more…

What is face mapping for?

  • Preconceived notions about the appearance of pimples

It is true that our imperfections do not always appear in the same place on our face… In the past, hormonal imbalanceorgenetic predispositionswere very often mentioned. So yes, they can sometimes be the cause of these little pimples, but in reality, the sources related to these outbreaks are much morevariedthan that.

Acne is a skin problem that usually appears during adolescence and affects millions of people worldwide. Around 5 million French people are currently affected.

There are a lot of plausibleexplanations ! ! The specificities of each person and the causes surrounding them remain a greatmystery : stress, poor diet, smoking, hormonal imbalance, lack of sleep, or even digestive problems can cause imperfections to appear.

When we make our own diagnosis based on what our parents, friends, or even worse: social networks tell us, the real reasons can sometimes escape us.

The face mapping approach comes from traditional Chinesemedicine and is not scientifically proven. It is often present in holistic beauty trends. Of course, this method should never replace a real medical diagnosis from your general practitioner or a dermatologist. However, it canhelp you analyzeyour mental state, your lifestyle habits, and your overall well-being, which can impact your skin.

  •  It is a tool to understandthe causes of acne.

To change and fight against these small imperfections in your daily life, you must first understand why your body is rebelling. Face mapping comes into play at this point !

The principle is that each area of your face is connected to an organ. When you see a pimple appear on your face, it means that one of your organs is saying " ouch ".Here, we are not talking about a serious illness or a major problem ! Simply about minor imbalances that can occur from time to time, especially when certain excesses are made. Remember that the body expresses itself through the skin, the largest organ of the body, when something is wrong.

To better understand the principle of face mapping, here is a very illustrative image of all the areas where acne appears. You can observe that the face is divided into seven zones.

It is up to you to identify the area(s) where you have imperfections and thus better understand their appearance.

Each area has a particular meaning

  • 1 - Pimples on the forehead:

In general, imperfections that appear on the forehead are linked to a dietary problemnutrition. You should therefore pay more attention to adopting a healthier lifestyle based on fruits and vegetables.  Reduce your consumption of processed foods, foods that are too fatty, too sweet, and too salty. Your digestive system seems to need a little break. Also remember to stay hydrated because yourstomachdoes not appreciate it !

You have bangs ? This can also be the cause of your pimples on the forehead. It is possible that this curtain of hair prevents your skin from breathing. It will be subject to even more significant sebum secretion and will never leave your skin exposed to the air. For this reason, consider tying it back from time to time. Even if it’s not always very glamorous to have your bangs tied up, when you are at home, don’t hesitate to do it.

  • 2 - Pimples on the temples:

If acne refuses to leave your temples alone, it is probably because you are not hydrating enough. Your kidneys need waterto function properly and flush out toxins. Therefore, drink at least 1.5 liters of water per day, but the more you drink, the better. You can also consume draining herbal teas to eliminate these impurities.Logically, since you should prioritize water consumption, limit your intake of alcohol, coffee, and carbonated drinks.

Your hair can also rub against your temples and cause some blemishes to appear. Try to keep your hair away from this area by tying it back.

  • 3 - Pimples between the eyebrows:

These don't bother people who are the designated drivers at night. Oh yes ! If you overindulge in mojitos, these pimples are for you ! Your liverdoesn't really appreciate your wild nights with a few drinks. It's also a truly vital organ, so you need to take good care of it. Remember this saying : “ Without alcohol, the party is even crazier ” 😉.

On the other hand, if you have been perfectly sober for weeks, you are probably suffering from a food intolerance and your liver is taking a hit... Finally, if your detoxdoes not satisfy your liver and your pimples persist between your eyebrows, it may be due to excess sebum or ingrown hairs after waxing...

  • 4 - Pimples on the nose:

If small pimples appear on your nose, this may be related to cholesterol. Limit your consumption of bad fats, which are easily found in deli meats, dairy products, as well as in many processed foods such as pizzas, for example. Favor good fats like olive oil or fish.

The emotionalaspect can also be the source. A lack of self-confidence or strong emotions such as anxiety, anger, or grief can play a disruptive role. The perspiration caused by these emotions accelerates the appearance of these imperfections. Try meditation or yoga to cope with this constant stress.Relaxand do things you enjoy.

  • 5 - Pimples on the cheeks :

The problem is generally located at the level of the lungswhen your cheeks are covered with pimples. Smokers, this is often your issue... If you do not intend to quitsmoking, a bit of exercise and fresh air can improve the problem.

We also know that our phoneis an almost indispensable tool in everyone's life… It collects tons of bacteria every day that stick directly to your skin when you make a call. To limit the presence of these microbes, feel free to regularly wipe it down with an antibacterial wipe. Your makeup brushes are also a breeding ground for bacteria and should therefore be washed just as often.

  • 6 - Pimples on the jawline:

Ladies ? You know the famous " time of the month " ? Yes… The pimples that appear on our jawlines are related to our hormones.

Honestly, there isn't much we can do to fight against these. Good lifestyle habits, patience, and your skin will gradually regain a beautiful appearance. Skincareis a very important step in your routine that should not be neglected during these times.

Be sure to thoroughly remove makeup and cleanse your face (Cleansing Milk Oil), regularly remove deeply embedded impurities with a scrub (Face Scrub - Gentle Aloe), moisturize your skin morning and evening (Moisturizing Face Cream - Healthy Glow), and apply a cream or serum locally to your blemishes (Anti-Imperfection Serum).

You now know the different meanings of your blemishes and therefore the messages your body is sending you ! Of course, every skin is unique and requires different needs. Let us also remember that when you regularly touch your face with your hands, it is not ideal for clean skin. This can also be the cause of a breakout, regardless of the area.
