Tired of lint under your makeup, redness, and pimples constantly appearing on your face? But have you really identified your skin type? There are 8 billion human beings on this earth, and yet we are all different. The same goes for your skin: each one is different and requires a suitable treatment. A treatment that works for you.
As you have understood, your beauty routine must be appropriate. Every skin changes, whether over time, due to environmental factorssuch as pollution, or even because of stress, from your hormones (especially during the menstrual cycle in women) or your consumption (tobacco, alcohol, ...) and diet (sugar, dairy products, ...).
A product used incorrectly can leave many aftereffects on your face: redness, blemishes, enlarged pores, and even burns in extreme cases.
To avoid this, we will teach you how to distinguish between different skin types and build a routine that suits you. What are the different skin types that exist? : In total, there are 4 main skin types. As mentioned earlier, this can vary depending on several factors, so it is very important that you regularly observe your skin.
-
DRY SKIN:
Dry skin appears rough and scaly. It is not very elastic, feels tight, itches, and can be painful. Additionally, the complexion is often dull and grayish.
This can be explained by a lack of hydration and lipids.
Dry skin is very often sensitive skin. This means it reacts more or less intensely to various external factors when it feels attacked. In fact, your protective barrier located at the epidermis level no longer fully performs its role and thus becomes permeable.
What can these factors be? : wind, sun, temperature, certain illnesses or hereditary factors…
HOW TO CARE FOR DRY SKIN?
If you have dry skin, use a gentle, non-aggressive cleanser. Choose a repairing and nourishing cream. The relipidating active ingredients in this product will help strengthen your skin barrier.
Use a serum to enhance the action of your cream. And nothing is better than a serum containing hyaluronic acid when your skin lacks hydration. This active ingredient can retain up to 1000 times its weight in water, making it a true sponge!
Remember to stay well hydrated, and for that, nothing is better than water. And yes, don't forget your daily 1.5L of water, always in a reusable bottle, of course.😉
Protect your skin from external aggressions: against the sun, don't forget your sunscreen!
-
NORMAL SKIN :
Everyone would dream of having normal skin: a smooth and even complexion, tightened pores, flawless elasticity, no spots, redness, or tightness after cleansing... the dream!
HOW TO TAKE CARE OF NORMAL SKIN?
If your skin has all these characteristics, you have surely managed to tame it! Nevertheless, you must continue to take care of it to maintain this appearance for as long as possible. Make sure to properly follow the steps of a skincare routine, and why not complete it? If so, I invite you to read our article on the steps of a perfect skincare routine.
Also remember to exfoliate regularly, once a week, no more! Otherwise, it could irritate your skin. To defend itself, it may produce excess sebum.

OILY SKIN:
Oily skin has enlarged pores and an uneven skin texture. This can lead to imperfections, also known as comedones.Indeed, the fact that your skin secretes too much sebum leads to the production of an oily film that remains on the surface of your epidermis. This clogs your pores and causes blackheads, pimples, or acne.
Hyperséborrhée, which is the second name given to this issue, can appear due to several factors. Indeed, the high production of the sebaceous glands can be caused by a lack of hydration, an external imbalance (diet, hormones, etc.) or internal (pollution, stress, etc.).
HOW TO TAKE CARE OF OILY SKIN?
For oily skin, cleansing is a step that should not be missed. Indeed, it allows for deep cleaning and unclogging of pores. Opt for double cleansing.
A moisturizing cream that is not too rich is also very important. If the cause of your oily skin is due to a lack of hydration: skipping this step would be a fatal mistake!
Perform masks and scrubs once a week. Scrubs help remove dead skin cells, allowing the treatments you apply to penetrate more easily. As for masks, you can use a purifying mask that will help regulate sebum production and limit the appearance of blemishes.
-
COMBINATION SKIN:
Combination comes from the Latin “mixtus” which means “to mix”, “to blend”, so you will have understood that combination skin includes several skin types. Generally, it consists of two distinct types: normal to dry skin as well as oily skin.Indeed, the T-zone of your face, which includes the forehead, nose, and chin, is often oily. It will therefore present the same characteristics as defined above. As for the rest of the face, it will be normal to dry.
HOW TO CARE FOR COMBINATION SKIN?
Combination skin requires special attention in order to identify the different areas and their treatments. This is why you should use a gentle and delicate cleanser, so that sensitive areas are not irritated while excess sebum is regulated.
As for your moisturizer, do not choose a formula that is too rich. A mattifying day cream may perfectly suit your needs.
Would you like to use a mask but can't find one that addresses all the skin concerns you are facing?
Then don't hesitate any longer: try multi-masking. This method involves using several masks simultaneously, at least 2. Choose a mask for oily skin on the T-zone and another dedicated to your second skin type on the rest of your face.
I CAN'T IDENTIFY MY SKIN TYPE, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
No worries! We have several solutions for you!
1. Take an online skin diagnosis: try the one from Endro Cosmétiques. How does it work? Answer a few questions so we can determine your skin type. Finally, we will suggest a routine with products that suit you. You will thank us! 😉
2. Consult a dermatologist. As a skin expert, the dermatologist will easily identify your skin type and its needs.
3. A homemade test: tissue paper! Clean your skin, dry it, and wait at least 30 minutes so your sebaceous glands resume normal production. Then, without rubbing, place a sheet of tissue paper on your T-zone, and a second one on your cheeks. If your paper shows stains, then you have oily skin. If your paper shows few marks, you have normal skin. If your paper shows no stains, then you have dry skin.
And there you go, you are now a professional expert in skin types!
